We will present the synthesis of a novel POR-TPA D-p-A system and discuss the structure changes of different moiety after the formation of D-p-A system. (1,2,3).We will further present the results of absorption and fluorescence determination. Combing with the potential data from electrochemical measurements, it�s indicated that intramolecular photoinduced energy transfer takes place in the synthesized system from excited POR moiety to the TPA moiety, whilst efficient intramolecular photoinduced electron transfer occurs from excited TPA moiety to the POR moiety. The transient fluorescence spectra indicate that there occur fast photoinduced electron transfer and low charge recombination, while the transient absorption spectra show a long-lived charge-separated state in the toluene solution upon irradiation.Finally, a comparison will be made between this system and other triphenylamino-containing porphyrin systems(4,5).
