Graphene and its composites have found applications in fields such as photocatalysis, lithium-ion batteries and solar cells due to excellent mobility of charge carriers and large specific surface area. For photocatalysis applications, TiO2 1D morphology is desired compared to the spherical TiO2 nanoparticles due to excellent mobility of charge carriers, and high surface area.  Graphene's increased electron conductivity is expected to modify TiO2's structure to allow low intensity room lighting for decontamination of organic pollutants. Preliminary results have indicated that the newly developed material recorded unusually high photoactivity for the degradation of Rhodamine B with maximum adsorption/desorption equilibrium attained within a five minute reaction time. While visible light activities of the C-TiO2 catalysts was recorded with sunlight irradiation as well as low intensity room lighting, the most successful recorded a pseudo-first order rate constant, k, was 0.2616 min-1 under UV light irradiation.
