The growing popularity of using Liquid Composite Molding (LCM) as a preferred method of manufacturing low cost and light weight aerospace structures has prompted efforts by the United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) to acquire a higher degree of polymer matrix composites (PMC) fabrication, characterization, and analysis capabilities to support PMC research activities and product development for United Technologies Corporation (UTC) business units.  In this presentation, complex methods of LCM fabrication will be examined.  This presentation will also discuss efforts to develop flow automation and intelligent processing control mechanisms to create a wholly stable and reliability set of processes ready to use in industrial production.
