The vegetable matter routinely being composted in landfills and other annual growth ignored along public rights of way and elsewhere represent major sources of zero-carbon footprint HTC (hydrothermal carbon). HTC production represents a densification process that should make biomass acquisition and processing more cost effective, and such HTC should be a satisfactory feedstock for bio-oil extraction, gasification, and for new nanocarbon dispersions for fueling ICFCs. Approaches to achieving these advanes in sustainable energy generation with zero carbon footprint are described. New polymeric stabilizer technology that facilitates producing waterborne dispersions of nanoHTC is described and the resulting nanoHTC is characterized.
