The talk will focus on our recent work in the synthesis and characterization of heterojunction arrays as photocatalytic materials for solar energy conversion and applications and our effort toward tuning the band gap and band structures of the photocatalytic materials. By controlling the materials morphology, structural and chemical properties, the photocatalytic activity and photoelectrochemical properties could be improved significantly.
