Slow-scan-rate differential scanning calorimetry of enzymes can detect conformational changes which are under kinetic control. This method, which utilizes scan rates as low as 0.01 K per minute, can detect the temperature of the conformational change at equilibrium and allows for calculation of the equilibrium and transition state thermodynamics. We report here our studies on bovine chymotrypsin.
