The multimodal anion exchanger Capto� adhere has been proven very successful for MAb polishing in flow-through mode. However, the resin has also found its use in bind-elute mode, even though the particle size was not optimal. Considering that, a combination of adhere ligand with a smaller particle size would be of interest. In this work we present results from a case study using a new multimodal anion exchange resin with a particle size designed for polishing.Two monoclonal antibodies (MAb�s) were purified. Due to different binding capacities for the two MAb�s different purification modes were chosen. Optimal conditions were found using a combination of 96-well filter plates and small columns.
