Increasing of bacterial resistance for different traditional antibacterial agents it can be recognize in water treatment process. For more than one century, chlorine disinfection had been used to eliminate the waterborne epidemics [2].   However, waterborne outbreaks occurred at high levels, and using of chemical disinfectant to remove bacteria from drinking water forms harmful disinfection byproducts (DEP) which are carcinogens, also some pathogenic microorganism acquire resistance to these conventional chemical disinfectant [2].  Therefore, high disinfectant dosage was used to eliminate these microorganisms leading to more DEP formation [4].  The challenge to have appropriate anti-bacterial agent for water treatment without forming harmful disinfection by product has been solved by using nanoparticles such as Ag, and carbon nanotubes. Silver nanoparticles are an example of strong antibacterial activity with low cytotoxicity to human cells [3-10].  Silver and carbon nanoparticles have similar or superior effect on microorganism compared to conventional chemical antibacterial agents, and they have many features such as they not precipitate in water, easily to collect after water treatment process finished, its antibacterial activity remain constant, and it is available in huge quantities like Graphene oxide (GO) . These features enable them to prevent bacterial growth in water filtration membrane as well as in reactors and pipelines used in water treatment and distribution [3-14]. In this work, we will present synthesis,  characterization  and anti-bacterial activity of different concentrations of graphene silver and graphene oxide using Microwave Irradiation.
