As methane reserves become more abundant domestically, there is a growing demand for an efficient and selective method to convert this starting material into value-added products. A particularly attractive class of transformations would involve C�C bond-forming reactions of methane to yield more valuable higher alkanes. This talk will present our current approach and recent advancements towards the ultimate goal of catalytic C�C bond forming reactions of methane.
