Graphene and graphene oxide (GO) have attracted tremendous interest due to its unparalleled electronic, mechanical, barrier and more recently, biological properties. We explored the possibility of conjugating electro-polymerizable carbazole units to aid the deposition of GO onto conductive substrates by cylic voltammetry (CV). The method herein offers uniform and controllable film thickness by simply varying the number of CV cycles. Selective deposition on patterned indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate paves the way for its application in electronic device fabrication.
