Enthalpy Biofuels (EBF) are derived from fatty nitriles, combining high enthalpy with high cetane and octane indices. This unique feature makes EBF excellent fuels by themselves, or in combination with petro fuel bases, being much superior to traditional biofuels like FAME biodiesel and ethanol.  Fuel performance of EBF is best assessed through electric power output in plants run with gasoline or diesel engines.  EBF alone or blended into gasoline or diesel produce more KJ/g fuel than pure petro fuels in those power plants.
