In this study, a high fluorescent metal europium was incorporated into a polymerizable ligand.  The formed complex monomer was immobilized into polymer matrix with high density of crosslinker in dichloroethane.  The resulting polymer was characterized by titrating with different anions and monitoring changes under fluorimeter.   The polymer was proved to be highly selective for carboxylate anions over halide and other oxy-anion analytes and easy to recycle and maintain its sensing property.
