A sensitive immunosensor based on quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) for schistosoma egg antigen detection is described. The immunosensor is modified by self-assembling monolayer of N-acetylcysteine on the surface of the QCM crystal. The results showed that a linear relationship between the the frequency change and the concentration of SEA from 0. 2 to 2.0 �g/mL was acquired. The calibration equation was found to be: Y (HZ) = -180.0 + 1140.5X (�g/mL) with R2=0.96297, and a limit of detection as low as 0.1 �g/mL were obtained using QCM.
