A putative metalloregulatory protein from the methanogenic archaeon Methanocorpusculum labreanum has been overexpressed and purified.  Spectroscopic and colorimetric assays indicate that this protein is an iron-sulfur flavoprotein.  Further characterization by UV-vis-NIR and CD spectroscopies and HPLC will be reported.
