The Cu(I) catalyzed reaction between azides and alkynes has become an indispensible synthetic tool in chemistry.1 The resulting 1,2,3-triazoles, which are formed as the exclusive 1,4-regioisomer has been used as ligands by us for generating magnetically bistable complexes and polymerization catalysts.2 Carbenes derived from the 1,2,3-triazoles have been popularized in recent years.3 In this contribution we will present the synthesis of abnormal carbenes derived from the 1,4- as well as 1,5-regioisomers of the 1,2,3-triazoles. Cu(I) and Pd(II) complexes with these ligands will be reported, and their use as catalysts for the 'Click' and Suzuki-Miyuara reactions will be described.4 (1) (a) Rostovtsev, V. V.; Green, L.
