We report the synthesis of the iridium RfPCP complex (C2F5PCP)Ir(H)Cl, its adduct chemistry, and dehydrohalogenation reactions to form (C2F5PCP)IrL2 products. A preliminary survey of catalytic alkane dehydrogenation activity in comparison to (CF3PCP)Ir(I) analogs will be presented.
