A variety of oxidation and reduction reactions were investigated using a melamine-palladium catalyst. This catalytic system is conveniently soluble in a variety of solvents including water, alcohols, and other sustainable media. Reactions examined include hydrogenations, hydrogenolysis, and air oxidation of activated alcohols.
