The fermentation industry manufactures Beer as well as many other fermented beverages. These beverages must meet expectations of the Brewers. The brewers send their samples to analytical laboratories to ensure product quality. The purpose of this research is to develop methods in collaboration with the fermentation industry and academic research that will allow the use of mobile analytical equipment on location at a brewery. Several Tests were determined to be useful to local breweries the tests included, International bitterness units, Standard reference method, and Turbidity. The accepted methods were modified for use with mobile equipment while in the lab and on sight at the Brewery. From the collaborative research it was determined that the tests above can with little difficulty be performed using mobile equipment on site at the brewery.
