With the depletion of fossil fuels and increase of green house gas (GHG) emissions, the paradigm of the chemical industry shifts from petroleum resources to renewable resources in order to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. We have been interested in renewable resources such as furandicarboxylicacid (FDCA) converted from hydroxymethfurfural (HMF) using metal organic hybrid catalysts. In this research, we polymerized polyethylene furandicarboxylate (PEF) and also prepared another biopolymer using different kind of diol. We investigated effect of different diol structure on the thermal behavior such as melting temperature and glass transition temperature.
