We utilize the enhanced rate of CuAAC cross-coupling reactions in the presence of CuBr/PMDETA catalyst and toluene to create complex architectures from functional polymeric cyclic building blocks. We were able to make the various topologies (�paddle�, 3-arm and 3-miktoarm stars) in high yields (> 90 %) and purities (> 80%) in as little as 1.5 h at 25 oC. Remarkably, even for sterically hindred cyclic structures the coupling proceeded with great efficiency. This methodology, especially when combined with 'Living' Radical polymerization opens synthetic pathways to a wide range of cyclic structures with a wide range of chemical functionalities in high yields.
