We report on the influence of covalently tethered synthetic polymers to the self assembly of N-methylated cyclic peptides which, by design, are restricted to H-bonding at one face. Following synthesis and characterization of the peptide and polymers, microwave assisted copper(i) catalysed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) was carried out to produce the conjugates. Peptide-polymer conjugates with self-complementary sites at the a- and a,?- termini of the linear polymer were prepared and their self assembly properties were studied.
