Responsive polymers attract a lot of attention due to their ability to show conformational changes when exposed to external stimuli. These properties can be transferred to particles or surfaces by physical or covalent attachment of the polymer. In this work block copolymers of quaternized (2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) and thermo-responsive di(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate have been synthesized and adsorbed to negatively charged NFC to produce a thermo-responsive material.Figure 1.
