The continuing interest for the structural, catalytic and physical properties of bimetallic complexes is triggered by the increasing diversity and availability of these complex molecules. In addition to the fact that bimetallic systems often display unique catalytic properties superior to those of monometallic catalysts,[1]their rational synthesis and bonding features continue to represent intrinsic challenges.We will discuss recent results dealing with the reactivity of metal-metal bonded complexes, the formation and structures of coordination clusters,[2],[3] the occurrence of metallophilic interactions between d10 centers,[4] the formation of cluster-derived nanoparticles,[5] and recent extensions of the cluster-surface analogy concept.[6][1] (a) P.
