A quantitative FTIR peak deconvolution method has been developed and was used to study the epoxy amine curing reaction. Density Functional Theory calculation of frequency data was utilized for the peak assignment. Various peaks in different wavenumber regions representing the same chemical species were analyzed to obtain the concentration profiles and compared with each other as a consistency check for the deconvolution method.
