10-Hydroxylycopodine, deacetoxypaniculine and paniculine are representative members of lycopodium family of alkaloids, that have been isolated from Lycopodium paniculatum. Our laboratory is interested in developing a unified approach to this family of alkaloids. Towards this goal, a detailed strategy of the stereoselective total syntheses of 10-hydroxylycopodine, deacetoxypaniculine and paniculine from a key tricyclic intermediate will be presented.
