This presentation will detail our approach to constructing mesoporous MOFs using cheap and commercially available building blocks including adenine and dicarboxylates. The design, synthesis, characterization, and emerging properties of several mesoporous MOFs will be presented.  In addition, strategies for increasing the complexity of the pore envioronment will be highlighted.
