This presentation outlines Intellectual Ventures' (IV) systematic approach in bridging the innovation gaps by partnering with Intellectual Ventures Inventors Network (IVIN).  First, we study an investment area by researching a particular technology field.  Then, we identify the technical gaps in the field and provides problem definitions. Next, we refine the innovation gaps by carrying out intellectual property landscape analysis and whitespace analysis.  Finally, we support the targeted inventing effort to generate solutions to the identified problems and commercialize the solutions through various monetization strategies.
