Small proteins generally fold fast because fewer states need to be searched, and they are less prone to non-native interactions.  Nontheless, even the fastest such proteins, the downhill folders, show interesting effects due to aggregation and slowly interconverting non-native traps.  This talk will consider experiments and modeling for a few examples of such unruly fast-folding small proteins.
