Visualizing reaction mechanisms is important in organic chemistry. A study of the development and implementation of organic chemistry animations will be discussed. The animations include concepts (i.e. hybridization, conformation analysis, etc.) and reactions (nucleophile substitution, elimination, alkene reactions, epoxide chemistry, benzene chemistry). In addition to developing animations for the classroom, a smart phone app that was developed will be discussed.
