We have had the pleasure of providing crystallographic advice and support to the Greg Robinson research group for about 25 years on numerous non-routine crystal structure problems.  Many of the resulting crystal structures have been crucial to the eventual publication of the comprehensive synthetic and structural chemistry papers.In this presentation we will discuss crystal structure results contained in six papers which we have co-authored with Greg Robinson from 1987 to 2012.  These examples highlight a few of the important milestones in Greg's career from the time he was a new Assistant Professor at Clemson University to his current status as a Distinguished Professor at the University of Georgia.  Each of these examples illustrates a crystallographic problem which required the use of advanced structure solution and refinement methods to obtain publication-quality results on a significant organometallic compound.
