We have demonstrated that properly designed poly(meth)acrylates containing imidazolium pendant units exhibit high single ion conductivities.1 Such polymers are known to be enabling for electromechanical actuators.2 In this presentation we will describe our design criteria and results with Ring Opening Metathesis Polymerization (ROMP) to produce poly(norbornene imidazolium salt)s with high single ion conductivities and preliminary studies of their actuation behavior.References:1) a) Lee, M.; Choi, U-H.; Colby, R.
