Over the last few years, our group has been studying the coordination properties of ambiphilic ligands.1 Our approach consists in using donor groups, typically phosphines, to support original metal / ligand interactions. This strategy was first used to investigate the coordination of group 13/14-based Lewis acids as s-acceptor ligands (Z-type ligands).2 We are now extrapolating this approach to the coordination and activation of s-SiSi and SiH bonds.3 This presentation will summarize our last results in these two projects.References 1 For a review on the coordination of ambiphilic ligands, see: G.
