Porphyrinic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are becoming important members in energy applications, including light harvesting, heterogenous catalysis, and gas storage. A distinct advantage of this particular class of MOFs is theirversatility of molecular buliding block. Although there are over ~100 porphyrinic MOFs have been reported, there exist few remaining challenges. In this presentation, new materials design strategies to achieve desired properties will be discussed.
