Mesoporous zeolites synthesized from soft organic templates have been paid much attention recently due to their advantages for conversion of bulky molecules and fast mass transfer. In our case, by using cationic polymers as mesoscale templates, we have successfully synthesized mesoporous zeolite single crystals with enhanced catalytic performance. Here, we shows examples for synthesizing mesoporous Y, ZSM-5, and Beta single crystals from using polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride (PDADMA). It is worth mentioning that the mesoporous zeolite single crystals have relatively high hydrothermal stability, compared with mesoporous zeolites formed by aggregated zeolite nanocrystals. In addition, because PDADMA is low-cost and commercial, this synthesis route is very important for industrial production of these mesoporous in the future.
