The work of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is described. AISES, a national organization of Native American scientists and engineers and headquartered in Albuquerque, NM, is 3000 members strong. The strength of the science talent pool among Native Americans, Alaska Natives, First Nations, and Native Hawaiians is discussed. Strategies for overcoming cultural barriers and for success in diversity and inclusion are discussed. Examples of successful synergy between Chemistry and Native America are presented.
