Many chemistry teachers have ideas on improving the teaching and learning of chemistry in the classroom. However, they often times lack the financial resources to implement these ideas. With the ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Grant, teachers can minimize the financial impediment and focus on developing environments that foster student learning. Over 500 teachers from 44 states have been awarded this grant since 2008.Attendees will learn about this grant program including the types of proposals that have been funded and application guidelines. They will also have the opportunity to interact with past award recipients to see how they were able to use the grant to transform their classrooms.
