Group VA polyesters were formed employing the interfacial polymerization of various Group VA organometallic dihalides and chelidonic acid.  Product yield varied from poor to moderate.  The products were low to high polymers with DPs ranging from 40 to 900. The products show the presence of a new band assigned to the formation of the M-O band. The products are generally a mixture of bridging and non-bridging geometries about the metal moiety. NMR spectral results are consistent with the formation of the group VA polyesters.
