By utilizing a new class of Pd precatalyst with biaryl phosphine ligand, aryl chlorides, bromides, and iodides were successfully converted to the corresponding fluorides. The general substrate scope of the new reaction was demonstrated by the fluorination of biologically interesting heterocycles and pharmaceutically relevant drug-like molecules.
