Hybridization of organic materials with inorganic nano-structures has been approved to be one the best approach to enhance the thermal performance of polymers and small molecules, and POSS has been proven to be excellent platform for developing new hybrid materials with enhanced mechanical and thermal performance. Here we showed that the coupling of POSS with azobenzene can significantly enhance the thermal and chemical stability azobenzene dyes without obvious change its photophysical properties. Confirming this, we have successfully designed and synthesized a new hybrid copolymer containing POSS and oligofluorene. This new hybrid polymer exhibits high thermal stability as well as retaining oligofluorene'sphotoluminescentproperty both in solution and solid state.  Its application in OLED device was also demonstrated in the present report. Furthermore, we also explore the Benzothiadiazole/POSS/Fluorene hybrid system to study the FRET both intra-chain and inter-chain and severial color tunable polymers were achieved.
