The rapid progress in graphene research has led to intensive exploration of novel 2D materials. In particular, transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), with their layered structures, have received significant attention because they offer many opportunities for fundamental and technological research in a variety of fields, including catalysis, energy storage, sensing, and electronic devices. Among the TMDs, MoS2 has great potential for applications such as electronic devices and catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). In addition, the MoS2 particles on reduced graphene oxide(rGO) exhibited superior epectrocatalytic activity in the HER. Due to its structural and electronic similarities to MoS2, WS2 has also received attention as an electrochemical catalyst. Therefore, we synthesized WS2/rGO hybrid by the hydrothermal method. The WS2/rGO hybrid structure was characterized by SEM, TEM, and XRD, indicating successful synthesis. Furthermore, the electrochemical activity of the hybrid materials for HER was tested.
