?? We describe the fabrication of a flexible photovoltaic device notable for its simplicity and high power conversion efficiency (1.76%). We have hand-written electrodes utilizing pencil on a regular printing paper. Graphite acted as one of the electrodes, Semiconducting CdSe quantum dots (QDs) were used for charge generation and perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic-3,4,9,10-dianhydride (PTCDA) was used as a bridging molecule to transfer generated charges to their respective electrodes. The great advantage of this device is simple, inexpensive, and easy device fabrication and a large light conversion efficiency. Further, graphite is eco-friendly, abundantly available, inexpensive and an excellent conductor. The device fabrication is straightforward and does not require sophisticated equipment. We also demonstrate photovoltaic fabrication on other flexible substrates including plastics and elastomers.
