It is clear from the literature that the best way for students to understand organic chemistry is to engage in problem solving using the tools of the discipline.  Too often, this is accomplished through the assignment of homework questions to students and the view by students that this is tedious busy work.  The use of games in the organic classroom for stereochemistry, synthesis, and spectroscopy introduces a new paradigm of problem solving.  These enjoyable activities bring the fun back into learning in the college classroom while still maintaining intellectual intensity on problem solving skills.
