The Supreme Court's opinion in Mayo Collaborative Services v. Prometheus Laboratories, Inc. last year had large implications for pharmaceutical patenting.  How does that affect research goals and patenting practice?  What other changes have occurred in the past eighteen months related to pharmaceutical patenting?
