We have synthesized a series of diarylnorbornadiene derivatives in which we have varied substituents at the bridgehead position.  We have also undertaken photochemical and kinetics experiments to determine what effect these substituents have on the norbornadiene to quadricyclane conversion, as well as the thermal stability of the corresponding quadricyclane derivatives.
