Two zinc-thiolate complexes were synthesized and crystallized with the use of the auxiliary ligand tetramethylguanidine. These two complexes were characterized via X-ray crystallography, NMR, and FTIR. Further more these compounds were preliminarily explored as catalysis for the asymmetric ring opening polymerization of racemic 3,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione .
