We experimentally study crystallization and glass formation in suspensions of microgel particles. Our results indicate that particle stiffness directly affects the suspension osmotic pressure and the details of the liquid-to-crystal phase transition.  Furthermore, it also plays a major role in the coupling between the structure and the dynamics in the supercooled liquid phase on its approach to the glass; this coupling seems to correlate with fragility.
