Harbin institute of technology of China are engaged in building an interface chemistry course group to meet different need of the students from different levels (undergrads, master students and doctoral students) teaching objects.This course group is constructed, based on the basic principles of interface chemistry as the course core, the universal surface phenomena as the axis; with the aim to cultivate the students with different levels to analyzed and solve the problems of the surface science in terms of surface view. The common basic principles of interface chemistry is built as the shared platforms, the course models with different level of depths and widths are built based on relations of the specialty and the discipline. We have established three courses as follows: �applied surface chemistry� for the undergrads, �surface physical chemistry� for master students and �physical chemistry of solid surface� for doctoral students. For the undergrads, the course is introduced from the description of the surface phenomena, and then further declaring the basic principles and simple regulations of interface chemistry. For mater students, the course is introduced from the explanation of the surface phenomena, and then talking about the basic principles of interface chemistry and its applications. Much attention was paid to the students from other colleges or universities, who may learn only physical chemistry, not surface course before, the proper supplements to the course are an inevitable necessity. And for the doctoral students, the higher requirements are necessary, so the theories about surface science and the new developments are the main contents of the course, which can be introduced in the form of lectures and reports and discussions in class.
