Teaching a subject can be one of the most effective ways to internalize a concept, yet we seldom ask our students to publicly present material they have studied in their Chemistry courses.  Students in a junior level Physical Chemistry course are required to design and present original demonstrations on some of the most fundamental concepts in thermodynamics.  The results are frequently entertaining and often quite insightful.
