Nanomaterials are of great interest lately due to their wide variety of applications. The extremely fascinating and useful properties of nanomaterials, which can be exploited for a variety of structural and non-structural applications, made them versatile materials in various fields of science, ranging from material science, energy, and medicine. Because of this, knowledge on the interactions of nanomaterials with different biomolecules must be known. The interaction of catalase with nine commercially available nanoparticles was monitored by various spectroscopic techniques (absorbance, fluorescence, circular dichroism). Results showed the preferential binding of some nanomaterials with the catalase as seen in the reduction of emission intensity.
