Two kinds of amphiphilic comb-like copolymer dispersants (styrene andmaleic anhydride copolymer amidated by 1-naphthylamine-6-sulfonic acid alone, SMANS, or together with methoxypolyethlene glycol, SMANP) were synthesized. They showed significant synergistic effect with commercial ligninsulfonate (dissolved in paper making waste liquor) on improvement ofrheological property and stability of coal water slurry.
